Today wraps up an amazing week of celebrating, not just our Marine Service Technicians, but the entire staff that make up our service teams in Maine, New York and Maryland. We wouldn’t be who we are or where we are without this incredible group of hardworking, skilled and talented people. The week was filled with new DiMillo’s 25-Year Anniversary t-shirts, group lunches, raffles, snacks, and much more to show our appreciation for this amazing group!
As the week comes to a close and we head into the spring chaos, Chris DiMillo, our President and Founder, reflected, “On the rare occasion, when I work on boats myself, it’s a good reminder that even the simplest task, when performed on a boat, inherently becomes difficult. For example, on my 26 Hunt Harrier, the knob that secures the helm seat in place, fell out. In order to reinstall, I needed to put the nut back on the stud, inside a track on the underside of a seat. It literally took me an hour! An hour on my back, my body twisted and my arm and neck wrenched. It wasn’t easy; however, I am certain that each of you would have done it faster and with more grace. You make these very difficult tasks look easy on a daily basis.”
