Accommodations
The Eastbay 43 is one of the popular Eastbay downeast designs with the completely enclosed salon. Stylish good looks, accommodations for four, exceptional performance and speed are some of the hallmarks of this vessel.
Accommodations aboard Seaface are fantastic. She has a large aft cockpit with built-in aft facing seating, large cockpit lockers under the teak sole, transom door leading to the (new) teak swim platorm, and a swim ladder. The side decks, leading to the foredeck, are wide and have extra S/S hand rails for added safety. The side and foredecks have AwlGrip "Moondust" over white fiberglass decks; they look great and provide good non-skid, and eliminate the glare off the cabin top. The fore deck has two lockers, electric windlass, heavy-duty S/S bow sprit / anchor roller assembly, and Delta anchor.
You enter the salon through centerline double doors onto a teak and holly cabin sole. The teak interior joinery is accented by white bulkheads. The port and starboard settees have Almond Ultra-suede upholstery. There is a hi-lo cocktail / dining table with two fold over leaves. The port settee converts into a berth. There is storage space below the settees and in the aft starboard corner a cabinet houses the flat screen TV that rises up for viewing, but is down and out of the way when not in use. T
The helm is in the port, forward starboard section of the salon with comfortable, adjustable Pompanette Platinum series helmsman chair and foot rest behind the teak trimed S/S destroyer wheel. Visability is very good from this location, and operation of all the navigation instruments is easy. There is a double, fixed seat to port, just behind the chart table. The cabinet under the seat is wired for an ice maker, but no ice maker is present.
Light and ventilation is provided via large windows, 360 degrees around the salon, many of which open and have screens. There are hatches over head for additional light and air. The center windshild opens, by pushing a button, electrically.
MarineAir reverse cycle air conditioning offers heating and cooling throughout the boat. Three 16,000 BTU units will thourghly do the job.
Down a couple of steps is the galley to port and L-shaped settee / dinette to starboard. The settee converts into a berth. There is a TV with MTS/SAP sound system and DVD 300 DVD player, as well as stereo and CD player. This system also has Sony speakers. There are two reading lamps, overhead lights, opening port with screen, and the hi-lo dinette table with two fold out leaves. The Galley and dinette are open to the salon, i.e. no low overhead to close them in.
The U-shaped galley is well equipped and has ample space. Teak cabinets, Corian countertops, S/S sink, convection microwave and Grohe faucet all contribute to a workable galley.
Moving forward to port, the guest cabin has over and under single berths, each with reading lamps, hanging locker, opening port, and storage space. There are three drawers, two lockers under bed, opening port, overhead hatch, mirror, carbon monoxide alarm, and pocket door for privacy.
The head offers a fresh water flush Vacuflush toliet, vanity with Corian countertop and sink, mirror, and storage space is to starboard. There is separate shower stall with a teak seat, tile sole, and glass double fold doors. The head has a pocket door for privacy.
The master stateroom is forward with a custom, centerline pedestal berth. The bed was made wider and has a custom mattress. There are two hanging lockers, three drawers, two lockers beside the bed, six lockers outboard of the bed, two reading lamps, two opening ports, one large hatch, a carbon monoxide alarm, and Toshiba TV with DVD player. This is a very comfortable cabin
